> We compare six AI website builders on price, editing control, portability and public reviews, from Framer and Wix to 10Web, Durable, Wegic and Squarespace.

## Ranking (6 products)

**Winner:** framer

**Verdict:** Framer wins for design-led sites, Wix is the safest default for a small business, and 10Web is the pick if you need WordPress underneath. Wegic earns a place for chat-only building and code export, but cost and a thin review record keep it fifth of six.

**Methodology:** This is desk research, not a hands-on lab test. Between 1 and 8 October 2026 we checked each vendor's own pricing and plan pages, took a real homepage screenshot of each product, and compared public review aggregates from G2, Trustpilot and Capterra. We did not build the same site on all six, so no speed or conversion claims are made. The custom score out of 5 is an editorial weighting of AI fitness for building a site: output quality, control after generation, portability and value for money. It is not a user average. Prices are list prices in US dollars at the time of checking and change often; the Wegic link is an affiliate link, and it did not decide the ranking.

## FAQ

### What is the best AI website builder in 2026?

It depends on the job. Framer is strongest for design-led sites, Wix is the safest default for a small business with a store in view, and 10Web is the best fit if the site has to be WordPress.

### Which AI website builder is cheapest?

Framer and Wix both have free plans, and 10Web lists AI Starter at $10 a month on annual billing. Wegic is the most expensive of the six at list prices, with Starter at $39.90 a month.

### Can I try Wegic for free?

Not for building. Wegic gives 100 free credits at signup to chat with the AI, but generating a site needs the $2.99 trial pack or a paid plan.

### Is there an AI website builder that outputs WordPress?

10Web. It generates a full WordPress site and hosts it, with an Elementor-based editor and SFTP access on its hosting.

### Can I export the code from an AI website builder?

Rarely. Wegic includes code export from its Starter plan, and 10Web gives you a real WordPress site. Framer, Wix, Durable and Squarespace keep the site on their own hosting.

### Are AI website builders good enough to replace a designer?

For a simple business site, often yes. For a brand-led or complex site, they give you a draft that still needs a human to edit the layout, copy and structure.

### Do these tools support ecommerce?

Wix and Squarespace have the deepest store features. 10Web adds a WooCommerce-ready dashboard. Durable says it is not designed for ecommerce.
